Kings Park House, Office Fit-out

Client: Cortex
Location: Kings Park House, Southampton
Project size: Medium
Time Scale: 5 Weeks
Delivered: May 2017

The Client:
Cortex are world leaders in the Intelligent Automation Software market.
They had out grown their existing office and needed space to expand.

The Remit:
Produce a space that incorporates an open plan office for 36 users, three meeting rooms of varying sizes, a comms room and a breakout space with fully fitted kitchen.

The Space:
3rd floor, Kings Park House.

Details:
Construct insulated stud partition walls to create:
Two large and one small meeting rooms.
One comms room for the data cabinet.
One dividing wall between the kitchen area and open plan office.
Construct glass walls:
To divide the breakout area and open plan office.
To separate the sales area from the rest of the office.
Insulate above all meeting rooms and along wall lines.
Install two floor boxes under each bank of desks and one in each meeting room.
Install all power and data cables to the floor boxes and to high level points for screens.
Decorate all new walls including feature coloured walls in the meeting rooms.

Lay wood effect vinyl to the kitchen area and carpet tiles to all other floors.
Install a fully integrated kitchen with breakfast bar.

Install venetian blinds to all windows.
Splash Displays supplied and installed manifestations and graphics to the client’s design.

5th Floor PDR Refurbishment

Client: John Lewis
Location: London, Victoria HQ
Project size: Medium
Time Scale: 3 weekends (out of hours works)
Delivered: January 2014

Scope: Refurbishment of the clients dining room in central London, programmed in 3 phases for consecutive weekends:

Phase 1 carpeting, Phase 2 ceilings and Phase 3 furniture and joinery installation.
Decorations to the area were carried out on evenings throughout the programme.

The dining room was reinstated after each weekend phase to ensure continued functionality for Monday to Friday operations throughout.

In addition to the installation works, DBL supplied all associated product including all dining room furniture and bespoke joinery for an integrated TV wall and booth seating area.

DBL comments: this is a typical example of a commercial refurbishment where we offer our clients a one stop shop solution, working around our clients business needs to minimise any disruption and maintain trading throughout our programme.

Jubilee House Refresh

Client: Waitrose
Location: Bracknell Head Office
Project size: Medium to Large
Time Scale: 6 weeks (out of hours works)
Delivered: December 2014 - January 2015

Scope: To undertake a total redecoration of Jubilee House, over three floors and remove and re carpet over 3,000 square metres in a live office environment, supply and install new canteen furniture, glass manifestation and coffee point alterations including plumbing, electrical works and bespoke joinery. The project was undertaken over 6 consecutive weeks and evenings.

DBL comments: this project was always going to be demanding, recarpeting underneath in excess of 400 desks in a live office environment without any client disruption. The success of this project is a testament to our team and their hard work in terms of precise project management and delivery. Both our client and us were extremely satisfied with the outcome of this challenging project.

Food for Thought Canteen

Client: Waitrose
Location: Bracknell Head Office
Project size: Medium
Time Scale: 4 weeks (out of hours works)
Delivered: January 2015

Scope: To refurbish the existing area by removing an existing store room in one corner to make the area much larger, remove existing stud partitions and re install to increase the size of the wash up area.  Supply and install new carpet tiles, vinyl and Amitco floor throughout, suspended ceiling alterations, decorations to the whole space, install white Rockwall cladding, new pendant lighting and electrical amendments, manufacture and install bespoke joinery items and plumbing alterations.

DBL comments: the team are very happy with the final look of this project. The refresh has given the space a new contemporary feel and the newly installed coffee station really sets the space off.

Suspended Ceilings

Suspended ceilings can make a big design statement.

Different areas demand different features, or may have specific requirements such as sound absorption, light reflection, fire safety, humidity resistance, hygiene or cleanliness.

Insulation and Fire Barriers

Applying insulation above a ceiling can be a cost effective way to reduce heat loss, therefore improving energy efficiency and helping to save our environment.

Insulation can also have the added benefit of creating additional soundproofing as sound transmission may often be via the ceiling void above.

We can also supply Fire-Barrier Systems which prevent Fire and inhibit the spread of smoke through ceiling voids and roof spaces.
